Yes. These will also be discussed at the time of your consultation.

Not everybody is a candidate for IntimaLase.  There are some precautions and contraindications.  These will be discussed with you at the time of your consultation after completion and review of a medical screening questionnaire.

No.  IntimaLase targets the entire circumference of the vaginal canal but will do little or nothing to correct Stress Urinary Incontinence.  IncontiLase targets only the anterior wall of the vagina.  It will result in some tightening of the vagina but not to the same degree that IntimaLase will.

No.  It is best to time the treatment during the first phase of your menstrual cycle.

Only one, although some patients may require a second treatment.  This will be discussed at the time of your post treatment follow-up appointment.  If a second treatment is required it will be done without charge within a period of six months post-treatment.

Results vary from patient to patient.  Given to the subjective nature of the feeling/sensation during sexual relations, it is not possible to measure or quantify results. The full result will take up to four months. Intimalase has a high patient satisfaction rating.
Refrain from inserting tampons into the vagina for four weeks.
After the treatment you should take care to avoid trauma to the treated area.  Sexual intercourse is not recommended for one (preferably two) weeks after the procedure.
Prolonged periods of sustained exercise are not recommended for two weeks.  Avoid activities that increase pressure on the bladder and treatment area for one month such as heavy lifting.
After the treatment you can leave and carry on with your daily routine with some restrictions.  There may be some mild swelling and redness after the procedure and a transparent discharge for 2-3 days.  No continuing or lasting post-treatment pain has been noted.

Some patients may experience mild pain or a burning, itching sensation during the treatment at the entrance to the vagina.   The treatment is usually well tolerated.
