Your hair, including your eye lashes, grows in cycles. The growth cycle of a hair is known as the anagen phase. Each hair grows for a period of time and then falls out. The follicle then rests for a period of time known as the telogen phase . Another hair then grows to take it’s place. It grows for a period of time before falling out and the cycle repeats itself. Not all of your hairs are growing at the same time.
A medicinal ingredient known as Bimatoprost allows you to grow your own lashes!
How does Bimatoprost work?
Bimatoprost lengthens the growth phase of your eye lashes! When each hair reaches what would normally be its maximum length before falling out, instead of falling out it keeps growing. While those lashes become longer than you would have ever dreamed possible, new lashes come in to their growth phase. Within a matter of weeks, those lashes grow long as well. Within a few more weeks lashes become so thick and so long that they might be mistaken for eyelash extensions.
How is it used?
Each night before bed simply apply a drop from the bottle to one of the sterile, disposable applicators and draw the applicator across the upper lashes. Users can expect to experience longer, fuller and darker eyelashes in as little as four weeks, with full results in 12-16 weeks. To maintain effect, continued treatment is required although many people have found they can reduce the frequency of application to every other night. If use of the treat-ment is discontinued, eyelashes will gradually return to where they were prior to treatment. In any case, results last far longer than glue-on lashes that need to be filled every four weeks.
